Job Overview
Gi Group, a leading global recruitment company, is seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This ongoing contract role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced Transport and Logistics environment.
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of parcels to both businesses and residential addresses. You will use your Class C1 licence, time management skills, and attention to detail to ensure every delivery and collection is completed accurately and on time. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and a clean driving record, this role is for you.
Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate records.

Load parcels onto the vehicle, ensuring all items are numbered and scanned for tracking.

Deliver to both business and residential addresses, meeting agreed schedules.

Make collections from various locations as required.

Handle parcels physically, including handballing as part of the role.

Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.

Communicate effectively with the depot and customers regarding delivery times or issues.
Qualifications
Experience Level: Minimum of 12 months’ 7.5-tonne driving experience in the UK.
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, plus a valid HGV Class C1 licence.

Salary and Benefits
